At Bikini Tours, we want to ensure you have a transparent and worry-free experience when planning your travels. Because we offer a combination of directly operated tours in the Åland Islands and bespoke Custom Global Journeys, our refund policy varies depending on the type of service booked.
Please read the specific terms below regarding refunds, processing times, and non-refundable fees.
1. Directly Operated Åland Islands Tours
For standard day tours, activities, and local packages entirely managed by Bikini Tours within the Åland Islands, refunds for cancellations initiated by the traveler are structured as follows:
Cancellation 14+ days before departure: Full refund (100%), minus a small administrative processing fee.
Cancellation 7 to 13 days before departure: 50% refund of the total booking amount.
Cancellation less than 7 days before departure: No refund is available, as local guides, equipment, and logistics are fully locked in.
2. Custom Global Journeys
Bespoke travel itineraries outside the Åland Islands involve direct bookings with third-party global partners (airlines, hotels, train operators, and local international suppliers).
Deposits: The initial deposit required to secure your custom global itinerary is generally non-refundable, as these funds are instantly used to hold inventory with international vendors.
Remaining Balance: Refundability of the remaining balance depends strictly on the individual cancellation policies of the airlines, accommodations, and suppliers utilized in your itinerary. We will provide a detailed breakdown of these terms during your itinerary design phase.
3. Cancellations by Bikini Tours
If we must cancel a tour or itinerary due to severe weather, safety hazards, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (Force Majeure):
You will be offered a 100% full refund of all payments made directly to Bikini Tours.
Alternatively, you may choose to credit the full amount toward a rescheduled date or a different tour package.
Please note that we are not responsible for independent travel arrangements made outside of our agency, such as flights booked on your own.
4. Non-Refundable Items
The following fees and expenses are non-refundable under any circumstances:
Comprehensive travel insurance premiums.
International visa or entry permit processing fees.
Completed customized itinerary design planning fees.
Bank wire transfer fees or international credit card transaction surcharges incurred during booking or refund issuance.
5. How to Request a Refund
All cancellation and refund requests must be made formally in writing to ensure processing tracking:

Include your full name, booking reference number, and travel dates.
Once approved, refunds are processed back to the original payment method used during checkout. Please allow 7 to 10 business days for the credit to reflect in your account, depending on your financial institution.
